Guns N' Roses To Tour With Van Halen

Axl Rose intends to take the current lineup of Guns N’ Roses out on a worldwide stadium tour this summer, industry insiders told RollingStone.com. “Axl has been basically quiet, keeping out of the limelight for almost 15 years,” said Guns manager Irving Azoff in the news item. “People think they know him, but they really only know what has been said about him by questionable people. He is a good guy and often misunderstood—he is a professional who has worked very hard to build and maintain a high creative standard for Guns N’ Roses, which I support. We have some exciting things in the works this year for GNR, I’m looking forward to it.”

Fleetwood Mac Confirm Spring Tour

For the first time in their storied career, Fleetwood Mac is touring behind something other than a new album. In this case, they’re releasing a greatest hits collection called Unleashed and a special CD/DVD edition of their evergreen classic Rumours.
"There have been discussions for sure that we would love to make some more music," drummer Mick Fleetwood admitted during a teleconference with the rest of the band. "And I think it’s really down to the whole sort of bio-rhythms of how everyone is feeling and what’s appropriate. We have careers and families and whole different sort of perspectives from what it would have been, you know, 20, 30 years ago, and going onward from there."
As for when this whole tour is happening, it gets started on March 1 in Pittsburgh and winds down on May 31 in San Diego.

METALLICA Confirmed For Austria's NOVA ROCK Festival - Jan. 21,

METALLICA has been confirmed for this year's Nova Rock festival, set to take place June 19-21 on the Pannonia Fields in Burgenland, the easternmost federal state of Austria (near Nickelsdorf and the Hungarian and Slovak borders). Other headliners are PLACEBO and DIE TOTEN HOSEN. METALLICA will perform on Friday, June 19.
