ABBA MANIA comes to South Africa!!

The international smash hit live concert celebrating the music of ABBA is to make its debut in South Africa.
ABBA MANIA recreates the Swedish super group's very last live concert on stage, reproducing their music, image and style in a respectful way, and introducing it to a whole new generation of fans.

ABBA women dismiss rumors of fights!!!

The two women members of 1970s hit group ABBA have rejected long-standing rumors that they are bitter enemies.
In a rare joint interview published Friday, Agnetha Faltskog, 58, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, 63, took a chance to set the record straight.
"A lot has been written about how Agnetha and I fought and quarreled with each other. There is absolutely no truth in that," Lyngstad was quoted as saying by tabloid Aftonbladet. "Of course we competed, but to good effect."
Lyngstad and Faltskog formed ABBA together with male members Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus.
The band has sold more than 370 million records and is famous for hits like "Waterloo," "Dancing Queen" and "Money, Money, Money."
After ABBA split in 1982, rumors of fights between Lyngstad and Faltskog swirled in articles and books about the band.
"No, we didn't fight. But we have to live (through) a whole lot of such misinterpretations," Faltskog said.
The two women came together Thursday to accept Aftonbladet's lifetime achievement award.
The four former ABBA members are rarely seen together in public, but were reunited in 2008 for the Swedish premiere of "Mamma Mia!" a film based on their hits.

Will ABBA really Reform 2009?

Take That, Led Zeppelin and The Police have already done it with great success and next year Blur, The Specials and Cliff and The Shadows are set to join them. Reunion tours are becoming the biggest ticket on the live music circuit...and according to a new poll by viagogo (www.viagogo.co.uk) there are plenty of other bands that music fans would like to see take the stage for one final encore.
ABBA is the band the British public most want to see reform and play live again in 2009. They came top of the viagogo poll which asked fans to nominate the one act they would like to see dust down the old costumes and belt out the hits in front of a packed crowd. The Mama Mia DVD is now the best selling of all time in the UK and there is little doubt that this would be the ultimate live ticket of not just next year but the decade!
The Swedish pop legends beat off strong competition from Manchester indie darlings, The Smiths, in the viagogo (www.viagogo.co.uk) reunion chart. They have already turned down millions to reform but with relations thawing between Morrissey and Marr could one of the most unlikely reunions now be on the cards?
Next on the list comes a band that have already settled their differences and returned in fine style...but with one man missing. A full Take That reunion with Robbie Williams back on stage with Gary and the boys would be one of the most hotly anticipated shows of 2009. What's more it could even now be the most likely as rumours abound that Robbie is ready to return.In fourth position on the chart are fellow Mancunians, The Stone Roses, who split in 1996. As with The Smiths, any reformation is reliant on the thawing of relations between the chief protagonists, Ian Brown and John Squire. Fans certainly feel there is unfinished business after the band were forced to drop out of their headlining slot at the 1995 Glastonbury festival due to Squire's broken arm.
Their album was 15 years in the making and if Chinese Democracy did not receive the plaudits Axel Rose was expecting, there is little doubt that reforming the original band with Slash on guitar would set everyone's pulses racing. Guns and Roses are number 5 on the chart.Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, The Faces, Wham! and The Jackson Five complete the top 10 dream line up. Now the race is on to find out who will crack first and give the fans what they want in 2009...
